Description
Lighthouses are evidence of our desire to explore even the remotest corners of Earth.
Argentina’s coastal region stretches over 2,800 miles and is lined with 62 lighthouses made of cast iron, brick or concrete. Following a 200 year-old tradition, the first lighthouses were constructed at the end of the 19th century. While a few of them are unmanned, most of them are still guarded by lighthouse keepers – isolated and single men who live in these remote destinations, left to make sure that the light would not go off.
